How a distraction problem turned into Focus Valley
KEY LEARNING & ADVICE
“Focus Valley taught me to be much more flexible when building a product. I learned that launching with a waitlist can be a simple way to create anticipation before release, instead of waiting until everything is perfect. I also learned how important it is to make a product visually recognizable. Focus Valley isn't perfect, but its visual identity is different enough to stand out from the typical projects I see on X and other social platforms. Most importantly, I learned to value harsh feedback. Generic feedback is useful, but the feedback that actually hurts is often the most valuable. Those are the comments that reveal real problems, challenge your assumptions, and give you something concrete to improve. The key is not just to collect that feedback, but to actually put it into practice.”
